Just before the Board of Trustees meeting this past Thursday, October 9 a friend who is a professor of theology and also teaches leadership at a seminary called me.  He said, “Wayne, the Lord laid you on my heart to pray for you in the Spring.  I didn’t know why but I prayed for you every week.  This past month the Lord said to me, “tell Wayne to have the courage to lead.  He should do what he knows to do.”  The Lord is on your side.”

You can imagine my thoughts at that time.  Decisions had been questioned, the focus of the institution was being questioned by some, and the Lord says “have the courage to lead.”  I came away from that phone call more determined than ever to seek the Lord in all things and follow closely to Him and fulfill His calling on my life.

When things get though, remember, Jesus is Able and He will provide victory and the timely words from a friend.
